I justed wanted to give the folks at www.surfinggreen.com.au a shout out. I ordered their Alaia building manaul a few weeks ago and it's money. If you are interested in building an alaia yourself I would highly recommend dropping a little coin on this puppy. Easy to follow and complete with everything you need even the templates.|

 The first-ever Algonquin Arts Theatre Surf Bash will feature live entertainment, including concert headliner Matt Costa, solo art show surf artist Jay Alders, the Original Longboard Skate Team, delicious food provided by Surf Taco & Starbucks, unique vendors, and a variety of surf culture. Matt Costa will preview songs from his new album, "Mobile Chateau," via Brushfire Records, which will be released on September 21st. Just got back from Puerto Rico where we found about 3 days of shoulder high swell. We surfed with some great people and spread some Singlefin love around the island. If you've never been to Rincon I highly suggest you book a trip next winter. |

The New York Surf Film Festival is the premier showcase for international independent surf film. This three day event scheduled for September 24th – the 26th will offer filmmakers who are exploring the diversity of surfing an opportunity to present their work to a larger audience. As surf culture becomes more popular, the notion of what it means to be a surfer expands. The New York Surf Film Festival’s aim is to build upon and shape the idea of what a surf movie is, while fostering the growth of this global community in NYC.
